Pretty dorky characters. She was way too naive to notice that the ML was so practiced while meeting a girl for the first time that he could only be a complete playboy. Naturally, she easily forgave him for saying really unforgivable things. Also, the only way that the ML could find out the will was invalid after the lawyer had already run it through probate is if he was really looking to invalidate it. Plot and characters were full of enough holes to make Swiss cheese jealous.
There was no BBV (Bed Before Vows) which I liked, but the shenanigans with the will at the end just seemed funky to me. I'm sure, in the absence of something indicating the uncle had changed his mind, that the courts would STILL honor the will of the deceased (taking a nice chunk in arbitration fees) and NOT award the inheritance to people who were not even mentioned and records could plainly show were estranged from the the uncle. And even if they did, I'm certain there would have been some division that would have included the daughter of the originally intended recipient. It just didn't make sense to me, not that the law always make sense, but if the desires of the deceased are such that a change written on a napkin after the fact can alter a legaly finalized will, I don't see how failure to mention a name change would make a difference. It seems to me that proof of marriage would only strengthen the right, but what do I know. I would have rather had her sign it over herself, but all told, I didn't like this one very much. It started okay, but in the end... The ML turned on her so quickly and venomously, without listening to a single protest... I just couldn't like him after that.
