This was definitely an interesting read. The style of art really encapsulates the tone of this manga. With this in mind though; I can't help but think that the author fell short with what they were trying to accomplish here. I'm not sure if It's me being conflicted over the hard to swallow *cough* themes, or the bittersweet ending. They did an amazing job drawing attention to the convenience of hetero-normative relationships, along with how toxic and draining they truly can be. Regardless though...I would recommend it if you're not sensitive to triggering topics like SA; or any 'non-moe' art style. But It's definitely something you should read once and quite possibly, never again (like me)!
This manga is amazing. No fetishization here. Plain lesbian struggles and more importantly about toxic hetero monogamy. Very heavy but satisfying manga. Psychological. It stays true to its title. I praise the author sooooo much! This was the best yuri I've ever read. As a lesbian, I feel fulfilled and inspired and seen. Thank you so much
Woman becomes attracted to a carefree lesbian and rejects her boyfriend and values to engage in a relationship that proves to be more than she can handle. Disturbing. Partly because of the art and partly because of the subject matter (not the lesbian sex, but the whatever you call forcing your partner to poop in front of you and the emotional abuse). Three stars mostly because the shoujo-esque art style is such a turnoff.
Really heavy stuff to swallow. The story is good and full of emotions. It's a constant up and down of wonderful and ugly feelings. Noone is the saint here. Some are just more wicked than the others. Not everything is bleak, though. In the end at least a few can find some hapiness. To say, I enjoyed the story wouldn't do it justice. I was thrilled and shocked and wanted to know how it progresses. But more often than not, I had a feeling like someone squeezing my guts. And the punishment for the guy was not enough for what he did to them.
