hm. it certainly is a harlquin novel adapted to manga isn't it. like... i'll admit to hallmark movies and stuff being a guilty pleasure of mine but genuinely i think the plot here is like.. worse even than one of those idk. its like fine. its stupid and i hated both characters but whatever.
if i had to put into words why i enjoy reading stuff like this, the juxtaposition of traditionally anime aesthetic with the decided western story is like... fun.even if i kinda hate the plot whenever the artists did something i could point to and say to "omg just like in my animes!!" it was really thrilling.
Damn, he sucked! Admits to himself early on that he took advantage of her when she was drunk because he thought it was his last chance, but then makes unilateral decisions, refuses to discuss anything with her, is willfully ignorant of her father telling EVERYONE in the company that she'll inherit. After all this crap, he still thinks that he's the hurt puppy and she's the cruel one. All about me doesn't even begin to describe him. He's just another one of those people who use his "trauma" to avoid having any empathy or consideration for others. And don't get me started on her lying, two-faced father. The FL should have left without telling anyone where she was going and made a real life for herself without lying promises from Daddy and butthurt idiots dumping all over her. Seeing the kind of people her father and husband are, I think that living with them would remain toxic. I just have to mistrust convenient redemption of inconsiderate a**holes.
