Fluffy uke had been in love with this guy from high school and even followed him to the same college. Because of reasons, they become sex friends and the uke tries his darndest to be the seme's friend. Then the seme's shitty ex from the past shows up, does some mental damage and inadvertently solves all their problems
Gosh. I feel conflicted. I much prefer stories that the ML falls in love first, but I've also appreciated ones where MC fell in love first as long as the story is good and the ML is worth it. This type of trope can be done well with proper grovelling from the ML. But this one. I loved the MC and the story made me feel a bit achey. And while I get MC's point of view that ML isn't obligated to return MC's feelings, the way ML treats MC made me wish MC found someone better. I feel like MC deserved better. It's a very short story, but it got me achey over the MC. But I had zero sympathy for whatever sob story ML has that made ML act the way he did with the MC. I'm happy MC got their happy ending, but I really kept wondering who the f*ck is the ML and what makes him worth it. It was resolved to quickly. I wished ML grovelled a bit or we could actually see him treating MC right. Sigh.
