obviously these two liked her but the badboy prince wanted to give in thinking that she still likes him but turns out she fell for him in the end
the crush that she used to have was her first love and she got together with the badboy instead and that crush of hers was cool with it and gave in too knowing that that his half brother love and care for her way more than he ever could making it his loss

And now that I'm done with the manga: Wow. Holy crap. I'm so proud of Hikaru for being able to choose I legit thought she was going to jump off the school building while Takara and Arata were doing their final spar match... I'm so glad that didn't happen. I'm so glad things ended the way they did. I actually cried tears I had to wipe from my eyes because of all of this. There were lots of flecks of cliche in this work, but it was so, SO GOOD. Arata's pure love for Hikaru was so brilliant. I'm so glad he never gave up on her. I don't know what I would've done in that situation, especially as a teenager. That was crazy!!! I'm so glad it ended the way it did!!!!

I read this 3 years ago.. I always liked this manga other than hirunaka no ryuseii.. Where 2nd male lead gets the girl.. But I want to thank those 887 voters who voted Arata.... ... Feel happy ith the ending

literally cried when hikaru and takara broke up. like the hotel scene after they made love for the first time i was sobbing so hard. was personally rooting for them i do love Arata but i just prefer hikaru and Takara because they were just so wholesome and each other's first time.

i remember rereading this before hence the reread tag. i first read it what, ten? 11? 12 years ago and i remember liking it so much it became one of my favorites. it was when i was fairly new to reading manga so obviously i didnt have that much standards lol but this has sentimental value to me bc the nostalgia is strong in this one. ten years ago i would've rated this 5/5 but now it's definitely just a strong 2.5-3 in total. i still remember some of it which is rare lol this story molded me to who i am today lol jk
