Ch.2

Hmmmmmmmmm don't like it. Basically ML won a game and got summon with others player in a race to become a god in this new world. Losing means death. I don't like it coz, ML not adventuring, no friendship growth, no cooking. Lonely journey of killing others.
Boring

Stopped at: Chapter 44

The characters and their lives are entertaining but I just can't with the system and the players playing "gods". And I hate wars.

A god MC, get to be a God for undeveloped era after finishing a game. Like game play and has to fight with other players for territory.

Honestly, I love the way this series is telling its story. While Nebula is technically our main character, most of the time we aren't following him, we rarely hear his thoughts and feelings on things, and we don't even know anything about him besides being "god Nebula", not even his original real name! (Nevermind his human looks.) Instead we follow his followers, their actions, their thoughts and feelings, and get invested in them and their relationships, like you'd typically do for protagonists. I'm sure we all love how hot and calculating Nebula is, but I sure as hell don't care about him emotionally compared to the lizardfolk.

I love this! It's absolutely perfect for the premise of the story, and makes everything feel much more... realistic, in a way? Because we know nothing personal about Nebula, he, too, becomes simply an existence for us, but is still an existence that matters. He feels distant and cold, perfectly fitting of a god looking down on their subjects below. Him becoming a god would've felt less impactful if we had to follow him all the time and watch him have relationships, grow, etc. and see his "human" side (ie. that one story where the MC becomes a god and uses "god's healing ring finger" as one of his skills), imo lessening his presence as a god to us readers. Again, I absolutely love it. It's refreshing to see our main character stay more on the sidelines and act as a guide when needed, and letting the other protagonists have indepence and not controlling every single one of them. I adore Rakrak and I will cry when he eventually dies.

To those worried about romance, with the way Nebula appears in the story, I'm confident in saying he likely won't have any romance within the story. However, if you're expecting absolutely no romance, sorry to say but I highly doubt that. Nebula is a god observing other living beings, people (and this includes other races besides humans), and guess what people do? They love and care about each other. You can't expect no romance from this type of story, but it's definitely not the main point nor focus. I think the most romance we've gotten within the first 40 chapters is character A saying "hey, you should get a partner, howabout considering me for that?" and character B later accepting it (it's not displayed super romantically, more of a thing that just exists). Those are at least my thoughts on this as an avid romance reader. ^^;;
