This continues what happened in the "Prince of Tennis ", after the end of the tournament . One of the anime's that got me into... well, anime. Still an old time favourite. It started heading downhill from the anime, and after reading the manga, it descended into hell. And by hell, I mean utter ridiculousness. Still, I wished the writer would have just ended it at some point, especially since the story after the school arc wasn't and isn't that great. That's why it's in my *read* section. It's over now. Hopefully one day someone translates the rest of the chaps, and the writer finishes it but... Best to hold on to the memories of the supposed prequel which was much better and let it go. It will forever be one my favourites...

Match description is so stiff, cringy dramatic. Up to chapters ~70 There's no scene where MC play even once. MC is barely in the story like a passerby, not even as side character. It's all other characters' over the top matches that was shown. The play is also not interesting nor exciting sport at all, rather a supernatural and childish type of play. Disappointing

Now one of my favorite sports mangas!! I love this. I hope they don't suddenly make Echizen and Ryuzaki date tho. I just don't ship them nor think that Echizen has shown any particular romantic interest in her at all. Imo, the story's already going well with just him being focused on his goal as a tennis player and stuff.
