This manga just made me want to read it more, from chapter 1 to its end. It got hard during the middle. I got irritated by the story line but I just have to finish reading it. The ending was okay (author-San should have drawn their restaurant and family).
TrueSomehow, female readers especially those who read BL dislike this heroine but for those that clicked with this manga, it's a good plot-driven story, albeit a little love-inspired at the start but I appreciate how the MC grew to actually love her work and went serious because she fell inlove with cooking. I hope readers would appreciate her character growth. For those that do not know, this manga is really, really popular that it spawned several aasian dramaa versions.
It's more a shojo than a josei, but it's still sweet and not too irritating even though there was a lot of "pathos" for..nothing (?) - the art is old but good - Compared to the whole manga the ending is way too rushed and quite abrupt - Sometimes I think it was superficial (i couldn't get into oda's mind or Hasume's ) - It's nice when it deals with food but there's a big lack of details and it's a pity that french food is again only seen in one way/side : du canard, du fois gras, en gros il manquait que les escargots ou les cuisses de grenouilles: déja vu et revu maintes fois et différent de la réalité >.<
Really did love this manga, and despite having the older style of drawing and being 70 chapters long, the length was well worth the read and even the drama was made enjoyable because of the strong female lead. Not giving this a 5 star because I don't feel like this is the best Josei romance I've read (good romantic pairing, but romance was kind of meh-ish), but it's definitely worth taking the time to read.
I just can't stop reading it till the end fron the first chapter. the heroine is strong and not annoying imo. this also give many information about cooking/restaurant etc. Lovely josei manga
This manga style sort of reminds me of Itazura na Kiss, but the main girl here really annoys me way more than Kotoko did in that one...so much to the point I can't read this anymore. I thought this was josei not shoujo so why am I getting the super annoying heroine? I made it to chapter four. Will this get better?
