So, hear me out, what if Rin wanted to kill herself because she did some bad sh*t to the teacher, like cheating on him. Like, when she saw him being serious about her with the ring and all that, she felt like cr*p because she was cheating on him behind his back, maybe the guilt of that is what made her do it. And to expand more on this theory, the other dude seems to know ML from the past in his "You were a sinfull guy, now and even then" from ch6, so maybe Rin thought MC was cheating on her or something and sought to get conforted in this other dude, he accepted but when Rin discovered that she was wrong, the guilt of what she did hit her.
EDIT: just read ch 12.5, Rin loves the other dude not ML, other dude loves Rin and ML loves Rin, when ML sees them almost get intimate and the friendship is almost lost, the other dude lies and says he's gay or something like that because he loves the ML too, other dude steps down so ML and Rin could be a couple, Rin seems to want to be always near this other dude even if he stepped down. So maybe when ML got too serious with their relationship, aka: marriage, she felt the guilt of not being able to love him back, she still loved the other dude, so no wanting to lose their friendship she decided to kill herself because he was the "root of the problem".

Girl likes boy they start dating. Her mom moves to north pole to study penguin so her teacher moves in to be her gaurdian. She falls for him but he has some girl he's hung up on ahe tried to commit suicide and has been on life support ever since
I like it, but I don't like the ending. It feel incomplete. I agree with people who thinks s too. And it's sad for Rin and for the rest of the characters. (~_~;)
