The series being canceled makes the chapter count makes sense. It’s a shame since this was a hysterical read and I think Dujoon is amazing, however from the farewell note, there are obviously some extensive extenuating circumstances surrounding the cancellation of this series.
Nothing can be done about it now. Big shrug. (Ch 36.5)
