Ch. 1-4 Plastic Romantic - Man, I wanted to see more of Ume and Chihiro!! But anyway I really liked this, as I love stories with 80s setting! So it was a nice reading for me! Ch. 5 Lonely Road Roller
The first story is about how, without our modern conveniences, they had to actually pursue the object of their obsession. Phone calls were made by landlines, video games were new and not too well known, and texting required an actual paper and pen! This wasn't about how they were both guys, no other tropes like rape or violence...just two people who fell in love and were there for each other thru thick and thin.
Translation was difficult to follow but it got more interesting along the way Main couple : not enough of them ! I want a better time skip ! Second is not very interesting.. 3rd is cute
Manga takes place in the 80's. Jo umeyoshi fell in love at first sight with another guy (sakagami) who is good at fighting while hitting on Sakagami, Jo was ignored but Sakagami dropped a quiz which made it easy for Jo to find him.
Wanna-be greaser High school boy, who calls himself Johnny, sees another moody, tough high school boy, Chihiro, in a fight and falls instantly in love. Chihiro rejects him but the Johnny doesn’t give up so easily. This was pretty cute!
Now this story is going to be fun ride...This is early 1980 where there is no internet or cell phone. Jo Umeyoshi, who plays around(cassinova), meets Chihiro Sakagami and falls in love with him at the first site.... Umeyoshi is excited and thinks that Chihiro is his destiny.......
