continuation of red fox, please read that first! anyway the art really improved, though i did. like the old style as well … again, the story is majorly fucked up buf i wanted more idk i really do find that arin (?) was a better choice, but im glad it didn’t end that way since i wanted her to live happily as well
sana finally shed the last piece of her humanity, it was a chilling chapter
sad that arin still yearns for iza. sana, rather than being swept by the sense of meaninglessness and numbness, it's more like being drowned by that feeling. she is slowly losing her humanity, yet still remains human because she is fundamentally different from the red fox. the red fox in this sequel is slowly learning human emotions such as jealousy, or rather, deciphering it, and how his 'love' evolved from that of the prequel.
Sana has accepted that she is a creature of the dark. She used to want to surround herself with humans to hold onto whatever last bit of humanity she has left but doesn’t anymore, hence why their story is just considered a part of mythology & folktales among the humans now. This is also why Sonosan is irrationally infatuated with her the same way Arin & countless past people were with Iza. Meanwhile, Iza gained human emotions & finally learned what love is but will never receive Sana’s love.
I really wanted Sana to escape Iza’s grasp but alas, it is Iza who will never escape Sana’s. Iza won the battle but Sana won the war — at the cost of her humanity. Their lives have now turned into what Bari predicted: “[Sana] will stay with [Iza] because she can’t escape her nightmare. And [Iza] will keep longing for her love, which [he] can never receive. [The] two will continue to repeat the cycle of dragging each other into hell and trying to flee, as [they] are fated to do.”
