It’s rlly wholesome! Def has sum depressing moments (p sure i cried at one point) but nonetheless it IS a story of healing. I am glad that even tho mc got severely attached to 2nd mc, it did end up resolving into where she broke down and like. Let go of her attachment? Cuz honestly, all she wanted was someone to be w her, esp since the mom was def not ready to be a single mom. And like, it’s understandable! The mom has been abused since childhood, so her normal is twisted than other ppl, and the guy she used to be w is ALSO terrible, which caused her to spiral down into a depressive moment. I’m glad that she kept giving money to mc, but the amount of emotional abuse mc ended up having is not it. Glad that she turned out well tho, esp in the future! I am ALSO thankful that both the mcs did not turn into a romantic relationship bc honestly it’s a lil yikes, esp since we’ve seen mc as a child for most of the chapters. I do think that they’ll end up living tgt? Well, prolly lol. Either way, it’s a good read
Chap 18 … I actually hope they stay like this, neutral and friendly, until the end. The trauma is too relatable, from both sides, so I know how long they need until they're even okay to be okay. No lovey dovey shit between them, okay? -01/20/2023
It's unnerving. For a child to be living with a man much older than her. But he is a good guy. Much better than all the adults around her combined that's for sure. I can already envision the turbulences ahead. That aside, both their problems hits close to home. Literally and idiomatically.
