Kaoru x kenshin foreverrrr. Hah hope they don't fck it up AGAIN IN THE NEW ADAPTATION. I wont accept not even equal to the manga, kaoru's and kenshin's relationship should be done and conveyed perfectly!

I love this so much! ❣ This is one of my favorite anime-mangas of all time. It's the most realistic manga-anime about Japan's history I've seen. Although the story isn't entirely based on a true event, it always gives me goosebumps because of all the cruel realitys, the awesome battles and the moving and inspiring words many characters say. Also, the live action movies are the best I've ever watched, they always leave me in awe.

Ch. 2

140 years ago in Kyoto, with he coming of the American "Black Ships," there arose a warrior who, felling men with his bloodstained blade, gained the name Hitokiri , man slayer! His killer blade helped close the turbulent Bakumatsu era and slashed open the progressive age known as Meiji . Then he vanished, and with the flow of years, became legend.

This was my favorite manga as a child and it's my favorite until now, maybe for the nostalgia I feel for it. It's anime introduced me to my favorite band, my love for historical stories, samurais and art. I would still read and buy the Hokkaido arc (even tough I never liked Kaoru, for what I know they have a son) if the author wasn't such a disgusting person. Even with the discourse "ah, you can separate artist from art", it's not enough, I can't even look at it without genuinely feeling bad. Kenshin's story, to me, ended here.

Best manga & anime forever

first ever manga I finished in highschool hUuu feels

This is just GREAT, I really love it!! It's really satisfying to see the time passing and how well developed is the psychological problems and traumas that all the carachters have. Especially kenshin, who regret all the mistakes he had made, and the lives he took, and don't know how to pay for it.
Also it shows how we do have to surpasse our own traumas and continue to live on while getting mentally stronger.
We all do mistakes in life and repent about it, even so we should never let go of our lifes, but should always try to be a better person.

Anime, movie adaptation

This was my first anime...so the manga takes a special place in my heart. And so far as I read...Iloved it as much as the anime!!
