SUMMARY: In a barren world plagued by monstrous, automated warriors intent on wiping out humanity, a young botanist seeks to carry the ashes of her father back to his homeland, the mythical "Valley of the World Tree". It would seem an impossible quest, until she runs into strange and mysterious samurai with an even stranger plant spawning sword who is seeking the same location. Does this samurai have secrets she should know before she trusts him? Or should she agree to join forces with him in spite of his mysteries?
