Comments of Shadow Star

i need to prepare myself before reading this

I was really intrigued by it in the beginning, as I kept reading it, I couldn't help myself wondering about the shadow dragons and shiina.
And then, the ending got all philosophical, I didn't understood why it was happening. The ending feels rushed, which is really a shame, I'm not kidding, in only a few pages, everything went downhill. I don't regret reading tho, it was interesting.

Evangelion meets Tomodachi x Monster, a interesting premise with a piss poor conclusion.



Update: So I decided to re-read years later and thinking when I think about this story has both some positive but mostly negatives.
Positives: The art is fine, Hoshimaru is cute, and the narrative is creative with it subversive expectations. When people see the cover of either the manga or anime they wouldn't believe that this story is insanely FUCKED UP!!!! I guess you can say it's both apart of genius or incredibly sadistic.
Negatives: I don't like the fact these CLEARLY underage characters sexualized and are involved in sexual situations. It's very creepy and makes me want to puke. And I'm fully aware that the age of consent in Japan is different in other places, but it doesn't make it any less disgusting. And it's not just this story it's in all the creator's other works too. Lastly I feel the ending is very rushed like instead of going out with a bang it goes out like a fart. It's like the creator got tired of this story and decided to go with the " and then every dies ending ". And I know this story's theme don't exactly translate to " happily ever after ", but I feel more thoughts could've been put towards the ending.
