In return for a business loan of 50 million yen, the prestigious Kamiya family gave their daughter Haine away to the Otomiya family. Haine, now an Otomiya, is appointed to the student council of the exclusive Imperial Academy, a private school for the aristocracy. Even though Haine is of proper lineage to be on the council, she finds herself struggling to find her place among the many secrets of its elite members, especially those of the president who holds her heart - Shizumasa Togu, aka "the Emperor."

Haine has been in love with Shizumasa Togu from the day she read the picture book he wrote as a child! She enrolls the Imperial Academy to be close to him and is accepted as a member of the student council! But with that dark secrets start to reveal them selves! Why does "The Emperor" act differently? Is Haine really in love with Shizumasa? Why did her father sell her and why doesn't her mother write to her anymore?

Horrible and confusing like VERY confusing especially towards the end but it was very interesting (not in a good way) with lots of drama that kept me intrigued so I read it all in a day :)

STUPID ..... STRANGE STORY WITH HER BEEN IN LOVE... DIDNT READ THE WHOLE THING BUT FROM THE BEGINNING HER BEEN TREATED LIKE AN OBJECT, SOLD BY PARENTS AND RUNNING AFTER A GUY ...DISLIKE IT SO MUCH....JUMP TO THE END....EVEN MORE STUPID HAVING TO CHOOSE FROM TWO BROTHERS FROM SOME WEIRD FAMILY THAT MISTREATED SIBLINGS TWINS ....STRANGE SUPERSTITIONS.... ONLY TO SEEN THE FEMALE LEAD AS BITCH THE LIKE BOTH GUYS....COME ON GET A GRIP....PICK ON SO STUPID AND UNREALISTIC....RETARDED

There's just about EVERYTHING, any plot, any twist, any intrigue, betrayal or surprise one could imagine in this story. Which makes this story akin to the mother of all wimmelpictures.
You turn a page and *GASP* dramatic turn!

It's been a looooong time since I've read this, like 6-8 years ago. wow. I honestly forgot what happens
