It’s been a while since I’ve last read it but I’m planning to reread it soon. It is very intriguing and I remember this made my head hurt every second of reading it. It was very confusing but overall I would recommend.
So let me make this clear. The first foreign body created was the counselor's son bcs he was born out of wedlock/unwanted. But what triggered the crack of the first rift at Soil was the murder by the counselor and the her son and that's when the fake family appeared. And that started a chain reaction which culminated with the disappearance of the town. But I'm still curious as to whom are the MPD aliens. Are they some sort of MIB who try to protect the reality?
But overall? The story was great. There are a lot of hidden message and satire which criticize or current society
