Ahhh this was a really nice read I absolutely loved it although I do wish there were a couple extras? Like of Athy visit in jenette and how she grows up and who she chooses. It's kind of a shame that the romance was left hanging in the air. Not every story needs romance but since it felt like the author began the romantic storyline and then suddenly ended the series it was a bit weird. Still a good read if youre looking for a story about family, survival, a badass female lead and finding your way and happiness.

I like it at first, up until whatever her name was got introduced. The brown haired bitch who was as smart as a brick wall. I couldn’t stand her. And the fact that the MC went from cautious to caring about her made me so angry. But I still had hope that the plot would end well… until the villain was revealed and not only did they spare his fucking life, but they also let them leave happily with his (shitty stupid looking ass bitch of a) daughter. Wow! Happy ending! Even though there shouldn’t have been one. Also, MC didn’t even properly end up with anyone. It just ended awfully, screw this story from hell and beyond. 2/5
