Really great story. A stormy one a the start but better next to the end. full of emotion mostly form the protagonist; even if he sucks in some area, he really have a godly love for his woman Chap 166 p18. But it seems it will be better for her to try high jump again... How lame. I really love all the last discussions between the protagonist and his father's wife. At the end I fell sorry for yui girl from restaurant: she was the one who really had the potential to take the protagonist but destroyed her chances by playing her card fastly and badly .

It starts a bit chaotic and strange. So at first I thought it would be a silly collection of not so funny jokes. But then the story continuously got better and in the end I liked it pretty much. The track and field background is quite interesting. Most characters get considerable coverage and some serious development. And the problems tackled are nontrivial for the most part.
If something is off, then in my opinion it would be the relationship of the two main characters, which I basically find unrealistic in some parts. At least in the context of their interactions as depicted here. What I mean is not, that it's impossible as such. But that it's highly improbable given how they treat each other. Most of all I find the end to be totally unbelievable but on the other hand unpredictable, surprising and thus fresh and interesting.
Summing up, the combination of it all makes for a very exciting reading with some issues and so deserves four stars for me.
Unfortunately, there are some serious issues with the scanlation, ranging from horrible translation, including not translated bubbles, to really annoying, mood killing jokes at the end of some chapters. Only a part is affected, thankfully.
