He has good ideas now and then, and sometimes I really wish he'd explore them more. Ultimately, his execution is just too clunky to be satisfying. He often either jumps around too much and too quickly, or he completely draws everything out for far too long. It's a shame, because he could do something really interesting with some of this, but it never really pans out.
This is all one chapter it’s so long lol damn. It’s interesting and so unique forsure! A few were really sad though like the “father’s heart” story. All special in Their own way.
Part of the Ito Junji Kyoufu Manga Collection Museum of Terror volumes one and two introduced readers to the horrific, beautiful creature Tomie... the woman no man could resist. Now Junji Ito, creator and curator of this horrible museum, brings a new type of exhibit to thrill and chill your senses! First, his lovely violinists will escort you to dinner in a vampire den. Next, in a classroom full of grotesquely masked students, which one is a demon in disguise? A musician's possessed arm attacks a schoolgirl by way of his mouth, and another young man listens to the tape recording left behind by a suicide victim. Why did she kill herself, and is he safe from its influence? Swordplay, monk-ridden ruins, halls of upright corpses, infectious radio broadcasts, and murderous ceiling hair are among Ito's beastly offerings in this volume! Find out why Junji Ito is Japan's foremost creator of horror manga!
I felt like I have read it but weirdly enough not in this series? Maybe in the collection series? Idk But this one felt like his more older stories based by the art alone. Maybe around the time the tomie series began? But i feel like the ending in this particular series kind of a little bit hanging, eventho it feels natural and feels like intended to be hanging like that The true horror of the last story thoooo
Strange but not a scary strange, it was alright. I forgot what chapter it was but I really liked a certain panel Junji Ito drew it looked really nice! (If I re-read it I'll put the ch number down here)
