I rather liked both the MCs. The only thing that annoyed me was the ML's attitude of always smiling in a way that seemed like he was looking down on her. It was like he didn't take her seriously and acted as though her emotions were just little tantrums that she'd get over. It reminded me of certain relatives and other adults when I was quite young. I or another child would be very upset and said adults (not my parents, thank God) would smirk and laugh and talk about how cute it was. I wasn't old enough to know the word "homicidal," but that was pretty much how I felt. Aside from my parents, my favorite relatives were two aunts and one uncle who always took me seriously when I was a child, and didn't make fun of my interests and aspirations. Children know instinctively when they're being looked down on, and adults can see it even clearer. The kind of person who does that in an adult relationship is the kind of man who thinks of his wife as "The Little Woman" or a wife wearing a shirt that says, "I'm with Stupid."
