ML is so pathetic(affectionate) and is simping hard over this other guy, he’s got some major anxiety and body issues. I don’t like drawn-out-misunderstandings plots but in short doses it’s cute here

4.6, though the plot at times felt quite silly I honestly think it’s a more pure story than normal for this genre. I’m not sure redemption arc fits this narrative so I’ll call it a glow-up arc which is essentially self explanatory. This glow-up arc was pretty well-intended, it was motivated by admiration and in the end we confirm that though it went out of its way to hide the past, the Uke reciprocates that admiration in the end. And their love is really cute. Love to see a bashful Seme now and again, without context you’d probably think he’s the uke. The art is great, very nice. My only grievance would likely be how abruptly it’s ended, I feel the pressure of hiding the past was dragged out a little long too but since it was a driving force to this plot (probably the purest misunderstanding-plot) I understand and forgo to that. I do wish it was dissected a bit more, for example having Jaehyun explain to Joo that the shame and disappointment he’s feeling is self loathing that he’d need to work through psychologically but that they could work on it together through their relationship. This could’ve led to a side story chapter in the future when they’re both older and a bit more mature (where the Seme has a new hairstyle IE the shower scenee where his hair was peak), where they’re seen as mutuals in a happy stable relationship showing they still can make each others heart race but they’ve clearly lived a happy life together getting to know each others habits etc. I could read this again if there were a smoother ending.

Started it. Couldn’t get past chpt 3. The uploaders definitely did their best but…

From the get go the plastic durgery to become his ideal type was just an annoying plotline. Like why is that still a plot used in stories. The main black haired dude was just so... I dont know? annoying? It was basically just a lot of second hand embarrassment im ngl. The red haired guy was interesting but the main guy wasnt at all, which was why I was always like why are u chasing after this guy so hard like i get he liked his voice ig.... it doesnt really warrant how annoying his horrible communication skills are? I dont know. Anyways i'd love if we stopped those 'lose weight and get plastic surgery so the person i have a crush on will like me' stories it's just not a good plot. It'd also be better if there were two interesting main characters instead of just the one guy... idk it's a quick read so u can skim it.

A relatively inoffensive story that I just didn't really find myself engaged by.

To be entirely honest, this story didn't really hold my attention. It's something I ended up skimming and I really don't think I missed anything of value by reading it in the half-assed way I did. The story is simple, direct, and easy to follow. This story taught me that those things aren't necessarily positive.

Junseok is a voice actor, having taken that profession & undergone a physical transformation to try and get the attention of his (old) coworker & crush, Jaehyun. After a chance encounter with him after two years, in which Jaehyun doesn't remember him from his past, they find out they are actually neighbors. From there, a silly and lighthearted love story unfolds.

Straight from the get-go, the story did something that I found kind of odd. I don't mean to get preachy, but it kind of just didn't sit right with me; when Junseok and Jaehyun were coworkers, Junseok was overweight. He knew he wasn't Jaehyun's type and he was okay with merely admiring from afar . . . Until a certain point, when Jaehyun complimented his voice. This ignited a fire within him and so he got plastic surgery to specifically become Jaehyun's type. And I mean, aside from the obvious stupidity of plastic surgery somehow making him lose weight, I thought the overall way that topic was handled was pretty poor. I'm trying to be mindful of the fact that this is a pretty silly comedy, but I don't know, I just didn't like that. It opened the story so it made me start with a bitter taste in my mouth.

Another thing I didn't like was the main—and really only—conflict. Throughout the whole story, Junseok kept his past a secret and is trying desperately to keep it as a secret. There's nothing about this that put me off of the story the way the plastic surgery aspect did, I just thought it was kind of stupid. It got to a certain point where, while I understood this character's anxiety, it's still just fucking annoying. Like you're a grown man. It's not like you're fat anymore so just be open with it, especially since you two are supposedly head-over-heels in love. Jaehyung wouldn't care.

When it comes to the characters, meh. Didn't hate them, didn't love them.

I did like Junseok's character for the most part. He has one really annoying character trait that's rather perfectly captured by the scene where after he suspects Jaehyun found out about his past, he immediately starts seriously packing up his apartment to move out instead of just talking to him. He's the type of man who always flights in fight or flight. Honestly, "fight or flight" doesn't even need to be triggered for him to still flight half the time. But aside from that, he's pretty cute. He's a really innocent character, both in terms of personality but also in experience—when he and Jaehyung hook up for the first time, Jaehyung has to guide him through it all. It's really cute, kind of attractive. He's the type of man who's easy to fluster and easy to read.

Jaehyung on the other hand is much more composed and level-headed. I actually really liked that about him; while the conflict is out of his hands for most of it, he tries his best to put an end to it. As soon as he suspects something is going on or that there's something wrong, he asks. When he learns Junseok is packing his house, he immediately goes over to his instead of just moping. He's the type of man who fights for what he wants. Another thing is that he's very sexually confident and I found that pretty attractive.

I feel like it doesn’t really end with all the misunderstandings completely resolved

it was a goood good read. i completely understand the seme's feelings but he's such a coward, deciding shit and running away. but i guess that's just how negative he is. lol im glad the uke is like that.

This was so freaking cute! The glasses dude was so funny thinking that it was horrible that he changed himself into a better guy lol.

didn’t even finish chapt 1, i hate when the chubby guy feels like he needs to lose weight in some way to become ‘enough’ for the love interest. Fuckin dumb + just continues to perpetuate the narrative that only skinny people can find happiness. or that you HAVE to get skinny to do so.

Wish he would have learned that the uke knew what he looked like at the end and that the uke told him the same thing he told their friends, but overall it’s still super cute.

It was really good even though it's short! Junseok's insecurities and anxiety felt sooo real and I could really grasp his character! Loved the direction that the author choose about how self love is more important than your looks and how Jaehyun ended up being such a sweet guy and not someone shallow! I wish we had a side story on the second couple
