notes: Yamashita and fukuzawa, falling in love momentarily, intense but not romantic, sad lonely convenient, what the heart and body wants are different, what is like, what is love, longing, fleeting, lost. Really good Titles- third person completes the emtional circuit, connecting what has been disjointed. Titles also suggest lacking- fake fur, 3/4. Each couple-what they had, what they have, what they lack (friendship/returned feelings) lack of returned feelings. How to be in love, being out of sync, isolated, disingenuous. Nonlinear narrative, going for feeling without analyzing the psychology too deeply, lack of narrative details, boxed in. Most detailed to sketchiest fear of rejection/ being aloof while being involved
Yamashita is going to live a perpetually melancholic life. So good luck! I think the prequel was pretty interesting with all the mature themes it involved but in this sequel there really was no redemption for him after all. He was going to be monogamously in love with straight men and the next and the next. However, this is a five star because I really enjoyed the two couples in this story. I love how things panned out. I love how they found love in the most surprising ways and just went ahead and be open about their feelings and moved on together.
Book #3 in the "Emotion Circuit" series. This one is somewhat confusing due to the jumps back & forth in the timeline. The art is cute and sweet, but the translations are inadequate. Books #1 & 2 are the best. (imo)
