Is there a deeper story of Arima? Thank goodness that manga of the OVA Tokyo Ghoul: Pinto isn’t here. That was painful to watch and the only reason I watched it is merely for self-compliance. There was really nothing good with that story.


Arima grew up and became a DADDY (if you know what I mean). The manga is giving me yaoi vibe.

Anime was better

This is like a side story prequel

loved the panelling, loved fura, still hating arima with a passion - though here he's more human, so I was able to appreciate their friendship. I just can't bring myself to sympathize with him one bit.

I liked this manga because it gave me some background on the best investigator in the tokyo ghoul universe. Though after Re came out it occured to me that they could have used this later on in a Arima flashback or something in RE. However, they decided to make it a separate series. I think it makes a good addition to the tokyo ghoul story.

I won't hide that I was disappointed with TG:Jack. Now don't get me wrong the story in itself is interesting and don't be fooled it is not about Arima more like about a guy named Fura (that is all I should tell you probably)...Now the things i don't like-1st the art it is all too messy for me,It has the author's touch but it looks like something he just sketched,2nd too many blank pages,It is just annoying ...And 3rd my disappointment this does not explain why is Arima's hair white nor why does he posses such agility to rival ghouls themselves, not to mention that the plot has a few minor contradictions to the main canon...Is it worth reading ? I would say yes, go ahead, just don't expect major explanations on why and how like me ...

amazing story...but the art just seems like drafts

I didn't really like it, too many blank pages and the art was a bit messy. It got much better in the end
