This is simple but it makes me feel warm inside. Both characters can leave their issues behind and start over together teaching each other the things they missed. The uke is straightforward and energetic, the seme is very caring but lies to look good.

An office worker (seme) is a closeted gay but tries going out with women. He gets interested in the gay man (uke) he sees at the spot where he meets his fiancee. After she leaves him, the seme gets close to the man. But the uke doesn't want to go out with straight men bc of his ex.

Takase is a closeted gay who meets his girlfriend at the same cafe each week alongside a gay man meeting his boyfriend, Yuuichi. After both men are cheated on, Takase suggests that they meet up and bond over being heartbroken without revealing his sexuality to Yuuichi, and they become friends. As the two grow closer, Takase wants to face Yuuichi honestly and confess his love, but his early lies make it even harder for Yuuichi to open his heart again in turn. Trigger warning: cheating.

I do like it because of the difficulty of a gay dude being in the closet and the uke not trusting the seme because he's been burned before.

However, I don't love how biphobic and even kind of demanding the uke is. Like I get the trust issues and how Japan has a different heteronormative society lens. Still it did leave a bit of a bad taste of my mouth

Honestly I still couldn't get over takase and yuuichi. I love this story.

rlly nice they were lovely loke i loke the friendship they formed and i could understand both of their confliy like they were both valid and i’m glad they were able to conquer it. their relationship was preciois ~.~

This is just too lovely, man. Both the leads have their own issues. The MC has internalized homophobia, and the ML’s ex cheated on him. I think it’s quite realistic in that the MC is a “dishonest” man, who chooses to hide his real self in the pretense of a heteronormative “happy ever after.” I loved his growth as a character (plus the ML was so cute). Just wish we had more established relationship fluff. ;-; 9/10
