Third couple ch10-11
Brought this to the top because they ended up being my fave couple. Childhood best friends to lovers, always been in love with each other but only she is a virgin. I actually think I like this brother best, I imagine his carefree attitude might make him irritating to deal with, so I'm glad it didn't focus too much on that. The only brother who didn't want the inheritance and got it by default since the first ML refused and dad thought the last son was more suited to management.
This would be 5 stars if we just got their story instead. The first didn't start out right and the second brother was a scumbag.
First couple ch1-7
Honestly the FL was half cute half irritating. The ML actually saves it for me. Sure he starts off like the usual, taking liberties with her body without really getting consent first, but even tho he's 22, 5 years younger than the FL, he's more matures than most male leads. When he gets irritated with her and says something or acts in a way he thinks might have hurt her feelings, he realizes it, calls himself out on it, and talks to her about it. Even sexually, in the beginning, when he thought she wasn't into what he was doing, he was ready to stop.
The way FL reacted to the big reveal was unfair for me because, you know, everyone had to deal with that situation but of course she really only loves the ML so she didn't really care about everyone else. She feels she overstepped later tho. Everyone thought the dad cheated on his wife and got a kid from outside, he had to hurt his wife too because she wasn't in on the secret, and unlike most step moms (in fiction) she loved the ML as her own son, was even willing to let him have the inheritance instead of fighting to keep it with one of her legitimate sons. It's partly because she thought he was her husband's son, and she loved him even though she thought he'd been unfaithful. The dad's sons also grew up thinking dad cheated on their mom. ML was actually his brother's son and he took him as his own son to protect the mom, who'd been a servant at their home, their parents didn't want their son marrying a servant so the guy just up and disappeared, tho he didn't know she was pregnant.
Cute story, though the art was so busy especially in the love scenes that I had to double check some places and still didn't know exactly what the artist had been trying to draw. It's for the whole manga, tho, not just the first couple.
I do wish we got to see the matter of the FL's work resolved, like if she went back in spite of how terribly she was treated or if she quit when she got married (since the ML refused the inheritance, I guess they both still have to work.)
Second couple ch8-9
Black haired brother, the couple is just wierd, plus they declare their love after sleeping together twice in 2 days.
