Hii!! I'm a Filipina.. and I'm really happy that this is published here in Manga Go because I don't really go out to comic stores and currently not allowed to online shop.. So I can't read TRESE irl, but only in my phone.. When Trese was created.. I wasn't even born yet, so when I heard about it being in Netflix, I got interested in the story concept from the trailer and a few interviews from the authors and illustrator.... I immediately browsed sites where I can read Trese.. Fortunately its in here.. Uploader, please do continue to upload!

omg the anime adaptation is coming to netflix! alexandra & the twins looks so badass! btw this is based on supernatural beliefs & folklore in philippines, here are some important terms:
• "tabi tabi po" or "pls step aside, sir” - "tabi tabi po, makikiraan lang po." these polite words means that ur announcing ur presence and telling "them" to step aside as a precautionary measure so that u wont accidentally step on them, hurt them, or offend them in any way. if u ever offend the spirits nearby, a part of ur body will have to suffer

• nuno sa punso aka old man of the mound - if u see in ch1pg4 where alexandra said the words "tabi tabi po" and shes facing a dirt formed like a bump? that is what filipinos call "punso" and the man who called him wc was hiding in the manhole is the "nuno." theyre a dwarf-like nature spirit and is believed to live in an anthill or termite mound, hence its name, literally 'ancestor or grandparent living in the anthill." the "nuno" are the spirits of the elderly. when a tree is to be felled, or a piece of ground is broken, or on many other occasions, permission is asked of the nuno, in order to avoid the misfortune that would come from angering it. the nuno is described to be a small old man with a long beard, but differs from a duwende or dwarf of philippine folklore. duwende is a playful hobgoblin who shows himself to children, while the nuno is a goblin easily angered that will do harm to those who damage or disturb his mound, and will seek retribution, for example by causing the foot of someone who kicked his mound to become swollen. theyre also believed to inhabit places such as underneath large rocks, trees, riverbanks, caves, or a backyard.

• Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) - a forensic procedure performed by the trained personnel of the PNP (philippine national police) Crime Laboratory SOCO team through scientific methods of investigation for the purpose of preserving the crime scene, gathering information, documentation, collection, and examination of all physical and other forensic evidence. theres also another SOCO in philippines: Scene of the Crime Operatives was a philippine investigative docudrama program broadcast on ABS-CBN. hosted by gus abelgas, it premiered from nov 23, 2005-oct 17, 2020. the program primarily aims to find answers to serious crimes with the help of forensic investigators and the local police.

• balete dr or balete drive - in the past, the street was lined with large balete trees that darkened the area considerably and made it appear "frightening" to some manila residents. in filipino folklore, balete trees are believed to be a "home for spirits and mysterious creatures." various legends and folklore have circulated since the 1950s that the street was haunted.

• white lady - a white lady is a ghost that haunts taxi drivers in the balete drive. accdg to legend, the ghost is a teenage girl who was run over and killed by a taxi driver at night, then buried around a balete tree in balete drive. one variation of the legend claims a student at the university of the philippines (UP) was sexually assaulted and killed by a taxi driver, and her spirit roams the street looking for her murderer. another version of the story claims that a female resident of one of the ancestral mansions lining balete drive was abused and killed by her own family, and her spirit haunts the road, seeking help from passing drivers.

• aswang - accdg to philippine folklore, an aswang is an evil, shapeshifting creature that shares the grotesque characteristics of werewolves, vampires and ghouls. it has no consistent image or description because its appearance varies per region. people have often characterized them based on hearsay, which is why the term aswang has commonly been used as a catch-all description for most evil creatures that lurk in the night. their favourite victim are pregnant women who emits a nice smell and feeds on unborn child

• kambal - in english, "twins." the kambal who wears humour and tragedy masks are named basilio and crispen. they serve as alexandras bodyguards and helpers. theyre the “warchild,” the sons of talagbusao, the spirit deity that is the very embodiment of courage, bloodlust, and berserker rage. as such, his sons (born of a special ritual) have great martial prowess and are virtually undefeatable in battle. they have been naturally skilled in the ways of war literally from birth.

• tikbalang - is a bipedal horse creature of philippine folklore said to lurk in the mountains and forests of the philippines. it is sometimes believed to be a transformation of an aborted fetus which has been sent to earth from limbo. tikbalangs are said to scare travelers or play tricks on them which will lead them astray from the right path. such tricks will keep the traveler from returning to the path, no matter how far he goes or where he turns. tikbalang can also transform itself into human form or turn invisible to humans. supposedly a traveler can return to the correct path and not be misled by a tikbalang by wearing ones shirt inside out. another countermeasure is to ask permission out loud to pass by or, not to produce too much noise while in the woods in order not to offend or disturb them.

• amihan & habagat (the wind ppl) - amihan is a genderless deity that is depicted as a bird in the philippine mythology. acdg to folklores, amihan is the first creature to inhabit the universe, along with the gods called bathala and aman sinaya. in the legend amihan is described as a bird who saves the first human beings, malakas and maganda from a bamboo plant. in one of the legend, amihan and habagat are depicted as children of the supreme deity bathala. They are allowed by their father to play in turns per half a year since having the two play together causes destruction in the land. amihan is depicted as the gentler sister while habagat is depicted as the more active brother. in another legend, amihan is depicted as a giant who is at war with another giant habagat. philippines have been using amihan and habagat to refer to the two kinds of winds and seasons that occur in the country every year. amihan is known as the northeast monsoon while habagat is known as the southwest monsoon.

i have to thank my filo friends for explaining me these terms back then when they introduced me the book trese <33

Hi! pls support the creators by watching the anime of this in netflix! ♡

Y'all might get confused but it's not entirely a series, it's more on compilation of Alexandra Trese's cases both in manga and netflix's adaptation so cliffhangers ahead ;)
