I want to see more. I also like the plot of this one. It is really a rare on that I can see a story with a plot like this. The story is well written and it made me cry a lot in this one. I just hope that we can see the wedding and how both MCs relationship progress.

this manga was so beautiful but it made me so mad at some parts

This was perfection. Art was simplistic but striking. The love stories were painful and sweet and charming. I adored every second of reading this.

fin; legit thought its gonna be reincarnation supernatural-y stuff but it just a normal drama. oh, well. boy falls in love with the girl who falls in love with her late mother's lover.

THIS IS SO UNDERRATED. ITS A MASTERPIECE. I LOVE IT! From this series, I had to search up Youtube to see Owara for myself and I'm not disappointed. I love the drama, I love the traditional culture it introduced and I love Hikaru's personality so much.

Im sad .. too much feelings

I get the feeling that actually Mayuko's a single mom, she lied about husband,
And she ran away from the wedding because she already carried a child of Madoka.
Madoka has been the one & only man of the poor Mayuko for her whole life.
Their love story is like.. one little mistake led to serial mistakes which couldn't fix anymore.
BTW The mangaka dragged on story of the girl for many volumes, while actually the core plot is story of her mother Mayuko & Madoka, whom both are much more charming characters.

I generally like the works of Kodama sensei. Her artwork is quite simple, but it always shows the emotions of the acting people in a wonderful way. The stories are complex, interesting, moving and fun to read. So I was thrilled to read this new work. And it delivered as expected.
This story is so touching and well thought out. Her story telling is one of the best. Combined with her ability to catch the spirit of the moment in her simple but expressive artwork, Kodama sensei presents here a tale of the life in a small rural Japanese town, where only on the surface everything seems carefree. She perfectly catches the spirit of small and big drama, the exhausting frustration and the overwhelming happiness. Everything has meaning. All emotions are vivid and you feel yourself immersed in the growing anticipation of the upcoming Owara Kaze-no-bon festival.
I'm always interested in the more obscure aspects of the Japanese lifestyle. And if you have ever experienced a life festival performance, you will know what I mean. It's something we in the west lost along the way to our kind of civilization. It can be partially seen in our carnivals. But mostly, that's only for show. For the Japanese, it's a serious matter and they give it their all. From the small children to the elders. This work really gets this aspect through, I think.
Definitely five stars for me.
