Not so much a one-shot as a two-page tribute to a famous line from a poem. It's worth your time (an easy thing to say for something that will take all of a minute to read) but sweet with a nice use of color.
Historical // Showa Era // Poetic // Based on a classic
Based on the classic "Under the Cherry Trees" by Motojirou Kajii (early 1900s). Two full color pages, created by Miyamoto Kano, which emphasize the poetic concept of what lies behind the beauty of cherry blossoms. A japanese saying that I have heard many times indeed and that I encountered in other stories: "Cherry blossoms are so beautiful because there are dead bodies buried underneath the trees"
Very short tribute by Miyamoto-sensei, but so beautiful!
