I’m sad for wife he deserves sm better it sucks that he’s unknowingly catering to the fucker who treated him so horribly.
Romance characters like Shao are all covert narcissists who only ever think about themselves. They measure ppl’s worth by how much they’ll benefit them n put themselves on this fakeass high moral paddlestal. Scum like him should’ve never been given a chance to turn back time
He doesn’t rlly regret shit cuz his nature is rotten. If wife weren’t so compliant then Shao would gladly trample all over him cuz he’s an incredibly selfish person who throws tantrums like a brat if he doesn’t get his way. He has alry proven this on numerous occasions
Manhuas such as Cheating men must die are quite good at exposing the nature of these types of male characters so idk why they’re still so popular to write.
It is so incredibly unnecessary n irresponsible to turn every single darn character gay. Heck now errybody gay except their fathers. I rlly wanted author to leave the 2nd prince the fk alone from the gay fate but nah even he couldn’t be saved. Dude already has a wife whom he’s quite close with, he’s also the prince who will inherit the throne so the matter of an off spring is extremely important. This served absolutely zero purpose to the plot n only annoyed me further. So he ascended the throne, used the empress as an incubator then she conveniently passed away young… author is allergic to female chars
Even the two fam sons mc n his wife adopted got dragged into this weird whirlpool. Actually now that I think about it even their tiger pet n the war horse are gay lmao bsfr
Nevertheless besides the annoying flaws that this story has, it is still a pretty decent and enjoyable read. I do wish we wouldve gotten more court moments but it’s unfortunately too romance focused.
It seems like there are diff parallels he has travelled back in time from which he has forgotten, such as another death in the cell n back to his childhood. Well whatever
