Still sappy and funny depressive shit that I like so much but some parts are literally annoying that it makes me question the parts that are relevant to the real world. Overall, it is very realistic, balanced and SAPPY AND DEPRESSIVE AND BEAUTIFUL ARGH
absolutely loves this, as a person w picky taste about things this finally was smt that had me hooked due to its actually interesting plot….but rio should’ve had gotten his shit together sooner
People like Kijima exist, quite a lot. Not exactly everyone has strength to overcome their own fear and anxiety. I sympathized with him too much my tear can't stop seeing him finally reaching hands to someone who loves him T^T I wish them two eternal happiness.
I honestly can't stand the uke, he's a selfish coward who only knows how to run away and lie. The seme is a sweetheart but way too forgiving which makes him into a pushover. I didn't really care for this volume and I thought the other 2 volumes were just alright, nothing special.
Sequel of pornographer. I liked that they branched out to tell us what happened after the end of the prequel. Shows us that not every ending ends off happily and easily without further problems in the future.
This is such a well and elegantly written story. Not as much visual smut as you’d expect in the title bc the juice is all textual. And it gets so unexpectedly deep sometimes. There’s also a TV adaptation already.
A wholly different creature from its prequel--far more subdued in terms of erotic heft, and a little aimless, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It is rare to read an established but struggling relationship depicted so truthfully in yaoi. Kijima's brand of pathological avoidance and the problems it festers is very familiar to me--I struggle with the same anxiety myself. I am heartened to see that the author decided not to end on a cynical route, instead opting for hard-fought growth and reconciliation--not just between lovers, but also with family.
People who says Kijima is still hung up on Kido definitely haven't read the first part or just didn't understand the whole story. It's not even sure if they had romantic feelings for each other in the first place. When Kijima said "You're the one I'm trying to hold on to, Kido. You're the only one I can count on to not to give up on me down the road. You'd probably still buy me a cup of coffee. And we'd be able to indulge in trivial conversation... even if everything goes wrong in the future" Kido is literally his one and only friend, the only person he can rely on before Kuzumi appeared. I assume he said those lines as a friend. In quotes like a true friend will always be there for you... will always have your back... in best and in worst... blah blah blah... I interpreted it that way. Whatever happens, he knows that Kido will always be there to support him, to help him AS A FRIEND. I am the same with Kijima. I always think highly of my friends. I believe they will never fail me. They will be with me through thick and thin. That if one day everything will goes wrong, I still have them. That's how I understand what Kijima said. And if you really read the story, you can see how much Kijima loves Kuzumi. In the prequel, Kijima literally said to Kido that Kuzumi is his treasure. Gosh. You all make me stress.
