mannn...... this really hurts. Wow, oh wow. It hurts, but it's also sooo good. Battan is really shaping up to be one of my favorite authors. A really short read, 5 chapters, but these 5 chapters are not wasted one bit. I heavily recommend this if you just wanna feel something you know.

I tend to be a very easily distracted individual, but this manga gripped my attention from the first chapter and never let go. (granted its only 5 chapters long, but not once in those 5 chapters did i ever zone out, which practically never happens when i read)

Yeah, a really good read, that really tackles themes of relationships, love, and a bunch of angst. The ending isn't satisfying, but at the same time, I quite like how it is. I guess that's the bittersweetness of it all. When you objectively look at what happened, it feels sad because of the missed opportunities and the what-ifs, but those feelings of regret and sadness also really line up with real life. The story leaves them at points where you probably wouldn't say they're at their happiest, but their stories, the timing, it's all gone by. If there were a re-encounter or sudden make-up between the characters so we could cram a happier, more "satisfying" ending, it would paradoxically feel less satisfying. (well maybe you could pull it off, but you'd need a lot more chapters.) So while I'm a bit unsatisfied by the ending, I'm unsatisfied in a way where im still happy? I mean, yeah, this is what doomed yuri does to you. I think it hit wayyy harder because it felt so personal and realistic. Never in the story did anything feel contrived or pull me out. I was completely immersed in the story.

It's been a month since reading this, and the story just really stuck with me. Idk how to call the emotion, but sometimes I'll be at the grocery store, absent-mindedly walking down the aisle, and I'll think of this story and just take a deep sigh. So thanks, author.
