the art in some of the earlier chapters felt a bit messy and incomplete and sometimes hard to tell what is what. improved massively later though. story was interesting, didn't deviate much from a classic historical drama although the specific details of their environment (like what they ate and the political climate) was fun to learn about, wished they explored homosexuality more but it was mostly just they loved each other and fucked

there's no end loose!! the story was ended nicely and the side stories didn't disappoint and gave us a bunch of fluff!!

I loved this story but IM NEVER READING IT AGAIN. I haven’t balled my eyes out in so long especially at a bl. The one rape scene broke me, I felt digusted and devastated(which usually isn’t my reaction as I’m desensitized). But the situation felt so violating and so cruel that I couldn’t watch it. I wish the brother go tortured. Plus no I feel no sympathy for him and idgaf that he saw his aunt die. That doesn’t excuse any of his actions, cause he didn’t care for the Mc happiness, all he wanted to do was posses him. No love or yearning just obsession and possessiveness(the worst form of “love”). Separating from that I liked the peak of Yuri but I yearn for more of it. Additionally it does a decent god at demonstrating the horrors of its time period. But I don’t like that the story has the Mc continue to call the Ml master.
