This was such an underwhelming story.

Truthfully, my disappointment falls on me—I had my expectations higher than I usually would. I've come to expect shorter manhwas like this, where it's only five to six chapters, to be nothing but porn, but usually, when it comes to manga, though they typically have fewer chapters than the average manhwa, their chapters are noticeably longer. It balances itself out. So I went into this story expecting it to be the typical manga, porn-heavy with a few good scenes developing the relationship.

This was not like that at all.

There were only six chapters and they were shorter than the average manhwa chapter. Altogether, this story quite genuinely only had three big scenes, with all three being smut. There was no development with the characters and their relationship, beyond the main character gradually liking sex, not even necessarily liking the other guy.

The story's really simple; embarrassed about being a thirty-year-old virgin, Mori hires an escort. Unbeknownst to him, the escort agency was for gay men. When the escort arrived, Mori tried to turn him away, but he was able to be seduced enough to at least settle for a blowjob. But as soon as Mori came, he passed out, so the escort left without payment, choosing to let him sleep.

But then it turned out the escort was actually his coworker, a man named Shinpei. Once they meet again, the one-night stand quickly ends up being a little more than just that.

For a short little smut story, that premise is actually pretty good. I always love the trope of someone showing up in the main character's life after what they thought was a one-off encounter. Unfortunately, I just didn't find this story very hot. In a way that's hard to explain, it was almost like the sex scenes weren't all that graphic. They needed to be longer, especially the very last smut scene—the last sex scene was cut off like halfway through, and I genuinely think that's so insane. The whole story is just them fucking. Why aren't you showing them fucking?

As I mentioned, the story only had three "big" scenes. The story opens with Mori hiring an escort and meeting Shinpei, and ultimately getting a blowjob from him. The next scene is the next day, where he ends up seeing Shinpei at his work. When they lock eyes, Shinpei drags him into the toilets, and they end up sucking each other off in the cubicles, after Shinpei suggests it as reimbursement for the lack of payment from the last night. The next scene is of Mori being invited to go out drinking, and Shinpei butting in, saying the two of them are actually drinking buddies and agreeing to go out on Mori's behalf. While they're out, Shinpei starts teasing him under the table with his foot, which then leads to Mori taking Shinpei back to his house and fucking. The end.

On the one hand, all three scenes flow into each other very naturally. It didn't feel like three disconnected scenes at all. But on the other hand, the porn wasn't hot to me at all, and ultimately, the story lacks any genuine emotional development between the two of them. There's not even an attempt. It's one of those stories where it ends without them even getting together, and existing in this grey fuck buddy area. I just found it a bit frustrating, and though I can see it as just being a "me thing," since I'm a huge sucker for romance, I feel like the lack of any type of emotional or romantic development also meant there was a lack of "spark" between them. As in, there was nothing pulling them together. There was no reason for them to not just end the story going their separate ways, now satisfied from a quick hook-up. It just feels quite hollow.
