Got a little rushed towards the end. But it was a interesting read, it's kind of refreshing to see the mean girl be someone who isn't the typical "beauty queen," but rather someone that others bully behind her back however suck up to her due to money and connections. Also like that the rich girl doesn't seem bothered by her own looks, she has the money to change it but doesn't which is nice, she accepts herself the way she is but is bitter towards those who tend act better then her because they are "pretty." I also liked the idea of the two looking similar and FL being reminded of her past self, a version which she tried to hide and was coming to embrace. I think that's a unique twist rather then having it be the "ugly girl is envious of the pretty rich mean girl," which I'm sick of seeing. Couldn't stand the blond guy, I felt like he got off too easily considering he didn't apologise to FL. Also the rich girl revealed her true colors and what.. got a second chance? Are you kidding me? I get wanting to learn more of the real her but this is like rewarding bad behaviour.. acting like her having this side is GOOD for a relationship, which is NOT. I don't mind the forgiveness message at the end, just felt it was rushed and too easily given considering FL's reputation was being ruined for most the story. FL was.. I didn't hate her but she had moments where even I found it hard to defend her, like imagine someone staring at you constantly. Especially when she found out the guy she had a crush on had a girlfriend and she awkwardly just stood there while they were meeting up.. like leave or say something. Or when she pushed the child, I get the surgery scars but the way she pushed him was like.. she doesn't help her own reputation at all. She's a little too passive for her own life. She does get better later on but by then, the plot is moving quick. ML was alright but it was REALLY creepy for him to chase a young girl at night and try to act non-chalant about it.. like no.. sir.. why not just approach her normally, why scare her off then act like you weren't even slightly being creepy. Otherwise, he was alright, romance was a little weak between them though. I recommend as a short read to pass the time although second hand embarassment will crush you at the start.
