They were so lovey-dovey together after all the tragedy, hardship and drama they face together it's heartbreaking but in the end they find one another. I love the story and the uke and seme they both were green flag. But one thing I'm sure this made me cry
Sad ending but they get a second chance
so what actually happened to Gusam that day? I rlly wanna know but ig we'll never know. ToT
I shed about 10 tears. Also, the side story kept me from shedding more
this made my toes curl from how good it was

Oh, I'm so glad I decided to read this. As if... I don't think I've cried like this in a long while.
I would give this a five out of five if it wasn’t for the sexual assault in chapter 8, but the buildup of the love between the characters is amazing and it’s a sad ending, but a happy side story ending, I’m still mad because they didn’t actually catch the perpetrator of the real murder.

"I knew from the beginning, but what could I do? I liked you."
This story was beautiful. Straight up, the way it was written was phenomenal. It had this amazing mix of romanticism with this overhanging feel of melancholy throughout the whole thing, all the way to that bittersweet ending, and I loved it for it. The way it was able to balance the sweet moments with the suppressive emotions these characters were feeling was almost impressive enough to be applauded.
The watered-down plot of this story is that Suchae meets Gusam on a bus and gets kind of infatuated with him, unbeknownst to him that Gusam is on the run due to being the prime suspect in a murder case. The actual plot itself was something I was kind of "meh" on, it's not bad but I just didn't particularly care about the side story of someone being wrongfully framed, but what I thought was great was the character dynamics that came about due to everything that happened.
I loved Gusam. He was so jaded and scared throughout the whole thing, scared of polluting Suchae and bringing him down to his level, of wrapping him in his mess. And because of that he would occasionally push him away, sometimes purposefully and sometimes subconsciously. He was a man of rough edges and yet Suchae slowly, gradually smoothed him. I fucking love relationships like that.
I also loved Suchae. While he is the less jaded one out of the pair, up until near the ending that is when he killed the old man who tried to rape him while Gusam was out, I'd say he might be more angstier. Suchae has this huge, almost suffocating fear of abandonment. There were multiple times in the story where Suchae would run throughout the house in a panic thinking Gusam had left him, and also many moments where he broke down and cried because he was scared Gusam would eventually leave him. And again, I fucking love relationships like that. They weren't healthy; they were codependant to the max, to the point it was detrimental.
One genre I absolutely adore is tragedy, and this story was like . . . Peak romanticized, Shakespearean tragedy that you don't really get anymore. It's rare to read a story that not just has the balls that this story had, but also the talent behind it to execute it so well.
The story ends with Suchae and Gusam walking into the storming sea and killing themselves together.
I fucking loved that.
There's only two flaws this story had, and sadly one of them was pretty major to me—the art just wasn't really good. I know it's shallow but comics are a visual medium, the art kind of matters a lot to me. If the art was as good as the writing then this would've been an easy 10/10 for me. The other small thing I didn't really get was the execution of the ending. I do understand why it happened, they were both murderers now, they had nowhere to go and their life as they knew it was ruined, so killing themselves was a "logical" choice. Very romanticized, which I loved. But the thought behind it, what I just explained, wasn't ever said. I was under the impression they'd just keep running until eventually they couldn't, so the sudden scene of them at the beach was a bit of tonal whiplash.
All in all though, I fucking loved this. This is easily one of the best tragedies BL has to offer.
