Well I just read the novel and bawled my eyes out. Why was this angst so good. So much mixed and conflicted feelings but it was a bittersweet ending. Ml def got what was coming to him but even then it didn’t feel satisfying cuz mc still had feelings for him. And so now I just pity both. Ofc mc had gone through the most but overall I think they both equally sacrificed something. Ugh I’m just gonna spoil cuz I need to vent. Can people even see my comment if im not posting on comment section, unless they click on my profile, idek. But idc cuz i needa vent

Okay well first of all, I didn’t even really read the whole novel. I skipped through a lot of parts and read more on things that focused on the main characters. I lowkey forgot about everything mc had to go through midway which is why I didn’t hate ml as much and felt his pain on his behalf. But looking back bro had this shit coming. Bro literally deserved this, no matter the pain I felt for him, he HAD this coming. Maybe it was because of the way he was treating mc later on but THAT CANNOT UNDO WHAT HE HAS DONE. Anyways, as I was saying how they equally sacrificed something. I mean first of all, mc sacrificed himself, his dignity, his worth, his pride, his everything and sold himself to someone who is the only one who could take away the pain. Ml over here took away his comfort, his ideal way of living and forced himself back into the dogshit society just for mc and gave him all his time despite his very busy schedule. The novel talks about how he would always mask his pain and GODDDD I WISH WE COUKD GET HIS POV AND ALSO THE NO COMMUNICATIONS PART DROVE ME FUCKING CRAZY TOO HOLY SHIT THEY SUCK AT THIS. PERIOD. Anyways, back tracking, now ml is a no expression kinda guy but mc does notice that when he’s off guard, he can see how tired he is but he keeps up this front and continues doing this up so he can provide for mc. Ml is at the point where he would basically sell his soul for mc but not at the same time UGH WHICH IS CONFUZZLING AT TIMES. Bro doing the most for mc but he can’t come out as homo bc that would basically end his very strict reputation in society which would lead to problems with his very noble lineage as well as his position and he can’t risk doing that. I mean I get that ig and there’s the risk of damaging mc’s reputation as he’s now rising in society again.
So basically ml is doing the most out here to maintain his very high expected, strict image while also playing the role of a lover, finding whatever time he has to come back and spend time with mc, catering to him, despite his busy day which I think is a huge sacrifice on his part because of his character and dedication. Now mc does get rid of the neim “curse” (is what the secretary called it) which he does it for ml despite knowing that he could die or suffer from side effects for the rest of his life but he’s also doing this for himself too as he’s tired of having to depend on someone and only someone to be able to help him. Mostly it was for ml because of what happened cuz they were at a point where they made a compromise so he wouldn’t get that surgery but under unforeseen circumstances, he had to do so. This also directly deeply impacts ml as well because mc is practically his lifeline now so if anything goes wrong, who knows what bro might do, pretty sure bro would follow him but yea, one thing is, neim binds them tgt so mc getting that is like telling ml that he doesn’t need him anymore and they can go their separate ways now which ml doesn’t want cuz he wants to feel that control that mc will always be in reach bc of the neim which is what im ASSUMING BC THEY ARE NEVER CLEAR WITH BROS EMOTIONS AND BRO IS JUST SO HARD TO READ but with the circumstance and now mc being free, he chooses to let his feelings go and prioritize mc, letting mc achieve his dream of being a pianist, not having to feel shackled as he no longer requires ml for treatment, and just giving up everything he has for mc. He also leaves the high society which is what he had long wished to do but stayed as it would help mc bc it gave him power but in a sense, it allowed mc to breathe more with him not having such a huge influence in society. Okay overall, it’s like mc definitely sacrificed more because even if the neim was beneficial on his part, he wasn’t even 100 percent in on it, he felt l forced to do so and bro was suffering through it when ml left to give him the opportunity to do whatever he wants, so it wasn’t even all that satisfying that he got rid of neim. But I feel it’s equal because ml was then doing stuff that sacrificed himself to at first let them be happy and then finally let mc live happily as he’s finally taking himself out of this picture. While mc is taking bro out for bro to be happy and for his music career. Ml took himself out completely to give him that chance and it’s probably not the best to say since they took turns, they’re equal, it’s more of like what they had to go through, they’re experiences which I felt so deeply as they went through is why I felt like not one experience can overpower the other as people’s intake of that experience are different. It may seem as though ml’s experience is “lighter” than mc’s as it was told in mc’s perspective, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t able to feel the same intensity of emotions mc was feeling as he went through his own circumstances - which is where I just felt so hurt for them both. I’m glad they got their ending though but omg this was such a freakin roller coaster. It felt like I was experiencing something so raw, it was like I was experiencing it myself despite the little words spoken and nonsensical sentences cuz the translation wasn’t all that good, it was just the complexity and conflicted emotions which felt so real, and the fact that ml could not be read, omg. Anyways, that’s my little rant hehe, I was just feeling so conflicted and wasn’t sure of how to digest how I was feeling so this helped

Overall this shit was good. While it’s like ml had it coming I also understand him. Someone comes up to you and demands you to help them when they’re not even you’re type and you don’t even know them, he’s not obligated to treat him well ig but it’s just human decency to do so which is why he had what was coming lol. Sorry babe, still love him though ugh, my heart really went out for him towards the end. And now imma vent about their communication because the like hiding their feelings, and they push out uncomfortable shit which is why they were in a dogshit relationship ughhhh. And now I’m done
