An interesting enough premise, just lackluster execution. Perhaps I only think that because I like for things to be more obvious in my stories, but I like for the story to have a through-line rather than supplementary explanations. I enjoyed it enough. I think an expansion on the theme rather than what it leads to could be really interesting - love me some angst
