It's okayyy. if you want a smut story between a maid and her master this is for you. The plot's nothing special, but I found both Grace and Ruby's facial expressions quite amusing and cute. Sure.... their original dynamic is a huge no-no with employer power imbalance, but.... it's a smut story, and I'm happy we grow out of that, and we just get Ruby as mostly a tsundere. But even then, with such a short chapter count, we don't get much of that either. The conclusion and everything with Ms.Hawkins just happened in the background unbeknownst to us, so her coming in at the end and just solving everything did feel like an ass pull. It's revleaed that she had an unrequited love for Ruby's motherand i think it would have been better to show that instead of info dump it at the authors Q&A. Also her characterzation from the start and end of the webtoon feels pretty stark, with her being quite cut and dry with Ruby, but that's more of a nitpick. It's quite funny that this was originally supposed to be incest, and I guess it sort of still is with Ruby technically being the bio daughter and Grace being the adopted daughter (but Ruby never finds out), but it's really crammed in at the end. That's all I can say, the last chapters move fast, we barely see the father before he starts his role as main villain and just as swiftly he's defeated (grace and ruby kissing each other in frong of his face as they drive off in the cart was pretty funny though). It is the author artist duo's first work and they mentioned how they found it daunting tackling a long serialization so i cut them a lot of slack. I think if you can enjoy the story even if it's a little haphazardly put together at the end. I will say i probably enjoyed this alot more because of the art.
