While I didn't hate this by any means, it did feel quite shallow. It definitely overstayed its welcome a little too long, considering how small the actual premise of the story is.

The plot's pretty simple. Kandae has two issues: one, someone is stealing his underwear, and two, every time he takes the train, someone molests him. But when his best friend, Shuji, reveals himself as being the man responsible for both, it shakes their relationship.

Most of the story is the same situation repeating again, which is essentially Shuji shamelessly coming onto Kandae, and Kandae turning him down until eventually Shuji just kind of crosses the line and takes what he wants regardless. And it all (well, mostly) has to do with Kandae's underwear.

After he's caught at the start of the story, Shuji promises never to steal Kandae's underwear or grope him ever again—instead, he just does it shamelessly. At first it's funny. It's unexpected, so it has that kind of shock humor novelty to it, and then the surprise melts into interest since most of the scenes are at least a little hot.

. . . But twenty-one chapters of this? It's just too much. There's nothing here to actually develop their relationship, and while their dynamic is cute, I finished the story with a strong feeling of just, "Is that it?" It left me wanting more in the negative sense. I wanted more because the story needed more, not because I was just so in love with it that I didn't want it to end.

One aspect of the story, essentially the only actual thing in this that tried to make their relationship seem at least a little sincere, was quite annoying to me. It introduced a bit of conflict I really, really liked; Kandae overheard some girls talking about how she broke up with her boyfriend since her boyfriend was more interested in his own kinks rather than her, and that she was replaceable for his kinks. This hits hard for Kandae and has him start pondering the possibility that it's the same for Shuji, that he's just an outlet for Shuji's kinks and fetishes.

It's the resolution to this that I just find incredibly annoying. Kandae and Shuji go to the beach with some classmates, and Shuji starts applying sunscreen to Kandae, as he forgot his own. But he uses this moment to feel him up. This triggers Kandae, thinking this was an exhibitionism kink for Shuji, and runs off back home. But once he's back home, he sees a train molester porno he owns on his floor, and comes to a striking realization: Shuji was doing all this because he thought Kandae liked it. It was all for him.

For some context, before the start of the story, Kandae had let Shuji borrow a porno. It was of molestation on the train. When Shuji is caught being the underwear-stealer and train molester, he comes clean and admits he did all of this because he figured this was what Kandae liked.

That last sentence is why Kandae's sudden realization doesn't work for me. He's "realizing" what he already knew eighteen chapters ago. Like. I honestly just don't get it. Nothing in the story painted Kandae is misunderstanding Shuji's motives; if anything, I felt as though the fact that they talked about it so openly was why Kandae was able to so easily forgive him that first time. It's just so stupid.
