Disclaimer: This review is based entirely on my personal opinion, and others may interpret or enjoy the story differently.

Going into this story, I honestly did not have particularly high expectations. At first, it felt fairly average and didn’t immediately stand out to me, but as the chapters progressed, it slowly became more engaging. I started to appreciate some of the themes it explored, particularly the discussions surrounding women’s rights and societal expectations. One thing I genuinely enjoyed was that many of the female characters were written with distinctive personalities rather than simply existing to support the main plot or male characters. They each felt like individuals with their own motivations, strengths, and flaws, which made the story more interesting to follow.

However, despite those strengths, I have to admit that this story has become frustratingly slow paced. And honestly, I rarely say that about stories because I usually enjoy slower narratives when they are building towards something meaningful. But at 142 chapters in, it genuinely feels as though the plot is running in circles. So many storylines and conflicts are introduced, yet instead of progressing naturally, the narrative constantly seems to avoid addressing the core issues directly. At times, it feels less like careful pacing and more like unnecessary stalling.

When I first started reading, I was genuinely excited to see where the story and characters would go. I looked forward to new chapters because I was emotionally invested in the characters and wanted to see them grow and eventually reach satisfying conclusions. Unfortunately, that excitement has faded over time. Now, keeping up with new chapters feels more like an obligation or a need for closure rather than genuine enjoyment. Instead of rooting for the characters and their happy endings, I often find myself simply wanting the story to finally move forward and reach a conclusion.

That is not to say the story is entirely bad. It still has strong ideas, interesting themes, and moments where the writing shines. But the pacing has significantly weakened my overall enjoyment, and it has made it difficult to stay emotionally invested in the narrative the way I was at the beginning. At this point, I am continuing more out of curiosity about how it will end rather than excitement for the journey itself.

I’m not gonna lie, I think I was getting a teeny tiny bit burnt out with all the historical romance manhwas I’ve been reading, like I would either pause or take a break in the middle of reading them. Not sure if I’ve just been reading too many, or if the story wasn’t hitting the right spot. BUT THIS??!!!! YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! HOW DID I NEVER FIND THIS BEFORE!!!! I really like the childcare historicals, and when I found this manhwa on one of the lists, I was like it doesn’t hurt to see what it’s like. Like all the others, I thought this would also burn me out and make me lose interest or something. I COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG!!!! Every single chapter, AND I MEAN EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER, had me hooked!! I was binging this series, BUT TRUST ME THIS A WHOLE DIFFERENT KIND IF BINGING!!! Each chapter fell right into the next. Never bored me, NOT EVEN ONCE OR IN THE SLIGHTEST. The plot was great, the overall pace was great, the art was beautiful, the characters were perfect. HELL I STARTED KICKING MY FEET WHEN THE CHARACTERS HELD HANDS WITHOUT GLOVES!!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A STORY GOT ME LIKE THAT!!!!

All in all, just trust me when I say this, this is a must read. The only regret I have is not knowing if I should’ve found this series before cuz it’s too good, or if I should’ve found this series once it was completed cuz now I’m kicking my feet waiting for the next chapter.
