After reading the comments I think a lot of people just don't have any reading comprehension. The festival with the girl was literally a flashback, it's kind of really obvious.
Giving it five stars to fight against the low rating it doesn't deserve.

it tried i think?? idk the plot is good but then it became so rushed and it tried to be all deep and shi but it just didn't do it right imo it did not do good enough
it’s rated pretty low for just a mid manga but like it’s just ok not good, like JUST ok, the pacing and writing is weird like genuinely weird, esp when it comes to the dialogue everything seems forced ig but it’s not bad just ok
