I finished this at another site. Gotta admit I didn't realise this had the tragedy tag but I could tell as I was reading and I'm honestly glad it didn't have the typical "they reincarnated and lived happily ever after" but rather they both died miserable and only lived happily in heaven.
I have to say the fl is a bit much imo, she's inconsiderate and doesn't think about anyone but herself and her lover (kinda) but she isn't toxic, it's more like .....she really was driven mad by love but also all of those around her failed her. At first I felt bad for her family but later you find out that they're literal garbage (except maybe her siblings) and even the people around the ml are also bad! His father figure the pope, his red haired friend and those in the church. At the end you find that all of the adults around these two failed them and she was driven mad by them and by the constant rejection and lying from the ml that he doesn't love her (which is a lie and they both know it).
Tbh I felt like their must have been a better way to go about what happened but that's kinda like real life where everything can't go perfect. I also wish their was a regret arc for the ml not just a couple of pages.

Ngl name is ass but plot is actually pretty good. I get mc honestly.. wish there was more of this, love tragic stories. I'm not saying the main character's name because it literally means dick in my language. So, yeah. But this manhwa is very unexpectedly good. Because she finally gave in. But when she finally gave in, that was when John finally closed the locket. So with them, you can tell that with just that, you can tell that the story is really a whole trope of right person, wrong time. Honestly, I do think that the both of them have, you know, their own contributions and flaws as to why.

We never get to see what happens to John afterward. How does he live the rest of his life as a Pope, knowing that it's a position, knowing that it's a life that was granted to him only with the debt of his most beloved. And that even now, people still don't believe that she is his beloved. I wonder how that feels.
