It’s aight like I liked the story and the plot but the way ryoma went about getting izumi to like him was just like… bro… but it’s not TERRIBLE because he really did try to improve and he DID apologize to izumi profusely. I woild say he had a good amount of growth. The one thing I didn’t like was how izumi essentially had to give up on being a manga artist and go into the entertainment industry. Although this WAS the most realistic ending, come on man u could’ve let him pursue his FKING dreams

Read and watched this in middle school...decided to revisit it. I was looking forward to the Izumi topping scene, only to be slightly disappointed.... but God, this Manga truly is a product of the time
