This story is so strange. The animalistic characteristics make for some very odd world building, particularly very short maturation times so that the second couple was the doctor who was in love with 2MC's grandparent before the story started. It's also strange that the world is underpopulated, yet the main couple had sextuplets. I get that omegas are supposedly rare, but again, if they have 6 kids it can't be THAT rare. That doesn't even follow. And because of the animal characteristics, it's perfectly reasonable to give away their babies at the equivalent of 8 week kittens or puppies. It's just very strange. The fact the doctor is basically just a dick for hire to "help" awakened omegas is strange and nonsensical too. What good could he really be doing for them which wouldn't result in risk of pairing or pregnancy? Also, with the way it's written (and I'm not criticizing the translators since they said this author is hard to translate) there is this weird vibe of infantilized dialogue which just makes it feel like no one is an adult. Very odd. I also felt the pheromones were underutilized considering the animalistic nature- there was not nearly as much feelings of craving or desperation in the characters which I like omegaverse for.

that was fucked up. in several ways.
if the population ever gets to the point where someone “fertile” needs to say single for the “betterment” of humanity when they have someone they love, we’re too far gone. (I doubt something of that nature would happen given human nature but still…)
also I was icked when the og mc was listing after the doctor… but the child getting with the doctor is just fucked.
and then them having to give away all their children after the first. fucked up.
