honestly i’m surprised this is so low- of course, i definitely think this story is pretty weak and kind of boring but i do enjoy the general plot premise and the dynamic of the characters. i think where it really suffers is bc it’s only a single volume, the author could have done much more if it was 2 or 3 volumes long. then i feel we could have gotten to see their relationship truly develop and see why he’d be willing to give up his life. not to mention i wish they had added some sort of trauma and struggle to the mc, i feel like it would make his acceptance of them, perhaps some dependence, and the idea of possible death make more sense
