9.6 i love it. The mystery, the relationship, the characters. In the beginning I thought "ok, I know this set up, I already know the plot, so let's just hope the chemistry is decent" and I was a FOOL!!! This is a slowburn with heavy focus on the plot and the main character - he is so well written!!! I misjudged him at first as a spineless people pleaser, little did I know, HIS THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS MADE SO MUCH SENSE and it was important to the plot. This is a study of guilt

this is MASTERPIECE. holy underrated gem (i wouldnt call this THAT underrated, but people barely talk about this manhwa when its??so??good??wtf). the plot is incredibly good, and the story is written so well. i can see it not being everyone’s cup of tea tho, esp if you’re looking for a fast paced BL. this manhwa really takes its time with the pacing, they rlly let every sequence breathe, and adult background shounen ai. but the tension between the MC and ML is INSANELY good, even without any sexual tension carrying the story. i genuinely couldn’t put it down. it srsly kept me awake until sunrise because i was so intrigued holyshit (i mean a serial killer mystery story will prolly have ppl on edge the entire time, doesnt it?) and also, one thing i really admire is the author’s art style. after checking out their other works, i realized their style has always been very sharp and cold (you can tell from the linework alone tbh) yet somehow, when it’s used in this manhwa, every emotion lands exactly as intended. even with a relatively simple art style, which theres no excessive lighting and difficult style, and they mostly use muted and monochromatic colors, you can still feel every emotion and understand exactly what the story is trying to convey. i think this is proof that strong writing is what truly makes a manhwa memorable. a lot of artists these days focus on making their work visually stunning but don’t give the storytelling the same level of care. so coming back to an older work like this in the middle of the new gen manhwa wave felt surprisingly refreshing :)
