I cried and i cried and i cried. People shit on BL saying they could totally just make the story into a boy and a girl and the plot wouldnt change, but this, this story is a masterpiece that precedes all BL. It’s such a raw and all engaging story that could never tell if it was just a boy and a girl. The trauma that odajimas mum went through and the trauma that odajima went through and the sexual confusion that yano experienced, it’s all relevant and it’s all real. I just love how the author was able to evoke such emotion through this writing, it’s amazing. I love stories like this.
