Pretty cute. I binged it instead of doing my homework so, take that as you will. While I enjoyed it, it feels lack luster in some regards. The art is gorgeous and I love it to bits. The story is good but not perfect, but I’m not super upset because at least there were no jarring issues. The characters were good as well. I really like the main character but I wish there was more time for him to get into why he didn’t want a relationship. I think them getting together just felt too easy. Idk. I’m going in circles a bit but it was ultimately a fine read. There’s really nothing wrong with it aside from a few things here and there that I didn’t love. For instance, I think Raphael and Dante got engaged way too quickly. I also feel that because Raphael was handed a get out of jail free card, he wasn’t made to reflect on his actions. I would’ve loved it if there were higher stakes too, but no, old money and influence saved him. I think I enjoyed the story the most when there was a lot of angst. I really loved seeing the desperation on Raphael when Dante pushed him away. I wish we could’ve seen more of that, and explored why he is so quick to fall in love and why he falls so hard. I will note that I found Raphael to be a bit too pushy. Sometimes he would pull his whole pouting routine and I just was not amused. Like I said, nothing egregious but still not perfect.
Oh wait! I forgot to mention they do the whole ML’s dick is fucking massive and he pushes for another round despite the main character being tired and asking for a minute to relax. Granted they do address it later but still… side eye.
Overall I liked it, might reread one day. 8/10 Would recommend.
